Zone controls may be added to any forced heating or cooling system as an accessory. A zone controlled system allows you to adjust the temperature in various parts of your work environment independently. Each area of the work space will have its own adjustable thermostat intended to maintain an appropriate temperature range.

There may be numerous zones in the workspace from two and up. Groen associates will review your current system(s) and suggest the best possible and most affordable solution to you zone control needs. The most common components required are:

• Electronic dampers to be installed inline with the ductwoik

• Control panel

• Thermostats for each zone

If you are planning on adding zone controls to existing ductwork, the area where the ductwork attaches to the furnace or air handler will need to be accessible. For new construction, creating a zone control system is easiest since all the ductwork is accessible. Call us for assistance in recommending the right zone control components for your work area.
